Sound Proof Enclosures

When noise reduction must be considered, a heavy-duty sound enclosure can be attached to the platform. The platform would be made slightly larger in width and length. A steel deck would be added to the floor. The sound enclosure is made from heavy gauge steel with 2" thick noise reduction material. The interior is 6'-2" high with sufficient room for service and maintenance. A by-parting door with a removable center support allows for any major changes. A low volume (500 CFM) roof exhauster is used to circulate air through the louvers that are place at pertinent locations in the enclosure to keep the motor and enclosure cool. Noise levels generally drop between 10-15 dba with an enclosure depending on the product going through the fan.

Silencers

Silencers are almost always included on the suction side to reduce the noise level back to the machine. Since the discharge usually goes to a separator and or filter, we do not offer a discharge silencer unless requested by customer or the product requires same. Silencers up to 12" diameter are 6'-0 long and 8'-0 long for larger diameter ducts.
